Proper Attire
for Choir Concerts

Fall Concert Attire

  • Our Fall concert is always black and white.
  • Gentlemen should wear any combination of black or white or both. For example, black pants with a white shirt, black pants with a black shirt, white pants with a white shirt, etc.  Dress pants would be preferred, however, very black jeans are also allowed.  If jeans are worn, they should not be the baggy style.  Shirts could be a polo style shirt or dress shirt with tie but no shirts with writing on them…no walking billboards please.
  • Ladies should also wear any combination of black or white or both.  Dresses, skirts and blouses or dress pants would be acceptable. Please follow the school dress code when selecting your concert attire. Wear comfortable shoes that aren’t too high.  We may be doing choreography (dancing) and I would hate to have you fall off the risers.
  • Patterns in clothing are allowed. For example, if you have a black shirt that has little flecks of color in it, that would be fine.

Winter Concert

  • This concert is similar to our Fall concert, however, the clothing does not have to be black and white.
  • All of the above mentioned points still apply.

Spring Concerts

·        This concert is similar to our Fall concert, however, the clothing does not have to be black and white.

·        All of the above mentioned points still apply.

·        Memorial Auditorium is NOT air conditioned. I would suggest lighter weight, breathable fabrics.  Summer clothing such as short shirts or shorts are not acceptable.

Just a reminder…we are performers and should dress the part.  We dress for success and looking good is half the battle.  If there are any concerns or questions please feel free to contact me by phone at 376-4174 ext.4164 or by e-mail at cindy.anderson@isd518.net
