Prairie Elementary School is located in the town of Worthington, MN. Worthington has a population of approximately 10,000 people. The city has the 3rd highest diverse population in the state of Minnesota with Minneapolis and St. Paul being numbers 1 and 2.The school is located near Lake Okabena which supplies multiple recreational opportunities all year long. The school was built in 2000 and opened for students in 2001.  The current enrollment for 2007-2008 is approximately 1000 students.  Our staff is committed to building highly effective programming for all students. Our mission statement as educators, in partnership with parents and community, is to educate and develop independent, responsible, life-long learners.
