Night School Announcement! Students planning to take courses for night school 4th quarter should visit with a counselor this week to register. The first day of 4th quarter night class is THIS THURSDAY, March 28th.

THE 2018-2019 YEARBOOKS ARE NOW ON SALE! Only a limited number will be printed, so place your order today to reserve a copy. Each 2018-2019 yearbook is being sold for $37.00, with an option to upgrade to a personalized yearbook. A personalized yearbook will have your name and personal icons on it. Cost is $43.00 for a personal yearbook.
You can order online at You can get a form from your Advisor or the office. They were also emailed to each student.or bring the order form and check to the Worthington High School office.
The yearbook will cover the highlights of 2018-2019 with hundreds of photos and stories about academic accomplishments, club activities, school sports, and special events.
WHS yearbooks are printed by Walters Publishing in Mankato, MN. Printing takes place in August so all events are covered in the yearbook. Yearbooks are then distributed in the fall. Underclassmen will get theirs at school and graduated seniors will have to come pick theirs up.
This may be your only opportunity to purchase a yearbook, so place your order now!

CLASS OF 2019…there is still time to get involved. There will be a BACCALAUREATE MEETING Wednesday, March 27th at 7:45 a.m. in the media center. All seniors are invited to help plan this special service that is scheduled for May 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at the high school. This service is planned and lead by seniors. There are several ways to volunteer.
PROM COMMITTEE will meet every Wednesday in Room 506.

DON’T FORGET the Annual Student Art Show at the Nobles County Art Center (located in the basement of the library). The exhibit will be displayed until March 27th. Gallery hours are Monday thru Friday from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
Travel to Peru in 2020
Explorica is currently running an early bird special for their educational tours in 2020. If you are interested in traveling to Peru that July, contact Mrs. Wolyniec for more information. The cost of the tour will go up on March 1st. Those who sign up now will save $ and have more time to pay for their trip. The itinerary includes Lima, Cuzco, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, and Lake Titicaca. See Ms. Becker for a flyer on the trip.
WEATHER RELATED SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS: Our local Radio Stations and TV Cable 3 in Worthington will make announcements concerning late starts or school closings if the weather is inclement. The Sioux Falls KELO and KSFY news stations and websites will also run school announcements. Stop by the WHS office to give us your name & phone number so you can receive a Shoutpoint message to your cell and/or home phone. Students should report to 1st Block at 10:00 if there is a 2-hour late start.
MEDIA CENTER: This is a reminder that if you choose to come to the Media Center during lunch, you WILL be expected to have something to do and it WILL be quiet because there are other students, faculty, and classes using the room at the same time. CLUB / ACTIVITY MEETINGS
ACADEMIC DECATHLON meets after school twice a week in room 507 with Mrs. Wendt. All are welcome to come check it out!
STUDENT COUNCIL will meet at 7:30 a.m. on the first Friday of each month in the Media Center.
TROJAN EXPRESS will meet on Monday mornings at 7:00 a.m.
DRAMA CLUB meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 3 to 4 in room 502
BPA meetings will be held every Monday after school in room 328 from 2:50 to 3:05
SADD will meet every Wednesday after school in room 329. New members are always welcome!
STEM CLUB will meet on the 3rd Monday night of the month from 6-8PM in
Room 514 and in the morning on the last Thursday of the month at 7:30AM in

ALLIES-A group for those who identify with the LGBT-Q community and fellow students who support them. We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month at 7:30am. ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING EXTERIOR DOOR USAGE! Please use your Student ID to enter in the North and South doors before 8:00. After school begins you will need to use the intercom to gain entrance into to school. During the lunch hours, Juniors and Seniors will be able to use their Student ID’s to enter the building. Students are asked not to allow other students or visitors in the doors during our lock down hours. Visitors must use the intercom in order to gain access to the building. Please help keep WHS secure for all of us!

At various times during the school year, representatives from colleges and universities come to Worthington High School to visit with juniors and seniors regarding their post-secondary education options and needs. Speaking with these college representatives is a great opportunity to learn more about degree offerings, scholarships, extra-curricular activities, financial aid, etc. Listed below are colleges/college representatives that are scheduled to be at Worthington High School. College representatives will be located in the media center during scheduled dates/times. If you wish to speak with a college representative, please sign-up in the student services office and obtain a pass to allow you to leave class.
