About Our Teachers

Ms. Johnson

During the school day, I teach Trojan Choir, Concert Choir, Class Guitar and AP Music Theory. I also am the advisor and director for Bel Canto, Trojan Express, and Vox, and I assist with the winter musical each year.

I received my Bachelor of Music Education degree from South Dakota State University in 1996. I received my Master of Educational Leadership degree from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2004.

I have been teaching since the fall of 1996 and have spent my career working with middle school and high school students.Throughout my career, I have directed jazz choirs, show choirs, and madrigal ensembles and assisted with multiple high school musical productions in addition to working with a variety of concert ensembles.

I enjoy the everyday process of watching students grow and learn new things, but my favorite thing about being a teacher is having the opportunity to help a student or group of students achieve something that they didn't think was possible.

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, traveling, spending time with my family and friends, reading, and playing with my two cats.
