Ms. Becker

Since 1994, I have taught Psychology, AP Psychology, US History, AP US History, Geography, AP Human Geography, Sociology, Global Issues, Women's Studies and World History at Worthington High School. Before moving to Worthington, I taught English in Strakonice, Czech Republic. I also taught Pre-K and Kindergarten at a Montessori school in Brooklyn Park. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Teaching 7-12 Social Studies from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. I received a Master of Science in K-12 School Counseling from South Dakota State University. 

Since teaching at WHS, I have coached Dance Team and Mock Trial. I have also been the Student Council Advisor since 1994. Outside of WHS, I have taught college courses at Northwest Iowa Community College as well as Continuing Education courses through St. Thomas University and Augustana University. I am proud to be on the teaching staff at WHS. I love the students and courses I teach!

Mr. Doyscher

I teach American History, World History, and American Government.

I have a BA in history from St. John's University and a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction from St. Scholastica.

I started teaching in Worthington in 1990, and I enjoy building a rapport with students.

A fun fact about me... When I shot my first duck, the recoil of the gun kicked me out of the boat.

Mr. Landwehr

I currently teach ninth grade geography. I graduated from SCSU in 1991 with a degree in History. I completed my postgraduate education at NMSU and UTEP. From 1991-1999 I taught sixth grade and middle school social studies in Texas. I have been teaching social studies in District 518 since 1999.

Mr. Mahoney

Picture of high school teacher, Mr. Mahoney.I have had the privilege of teaching U.S. and World History at Worthington High School since 2015. I received my B.A. in Speech Communication and minor in History from the University of Minnesota, Morris and my Masters in Education from the University of Sioux Falls. Go Cougars!

Minus a year of teaching International Baccalaureate in the Kingdom of Bahrain, I have spent my entire educational career at ISD518. I have been a paraprofessional, substitute teacher and ESL teacher at the ALC. I also help coach Trojan football and track and field.

My name is Bernard Strouth and teach all Social Studies classes.

I began teaching at the ALC summer school in 1993 and night classes at the ALC in the fall of 1994. I started full time at the ALC in the fall of 1997.

The thing I enjoy the most about teaching is working with young people and watching them mature into young adults.

I am an assistant football coach at Minnesota West Community and Technical College.
