Mrs. Jensen

My name is Mrs. Jensen and I currently teach kindergarten. I received my bachelors degree in elementary education from Mankato State University. I earned an English as a Second Language licensure from Mankato State University and have my Masters in Education degree from St. Mary’s University. I have taught in District 518 since 1996. During this time I have taught in every grade except 2nd and 3rd.

What I enjoy the most about teaching is seeing the excitement in the children when they have learned something new. I learn so much from my students every day. An interesting fact about me is that I am currently hosting an exchange student from Brazil. It’s my fun sharing our culture with her and also learning about the Brazilian culture.

Mrs. Oberloh

Hello!  My name is Amy Oberloh and I am a Response to Intervention (RtI) teacher at Prairie Elementary. I am in my 17th year teaching.   I grew up in Worthington and graduated from Worthington High School.  After graduation I attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.  While there I competed on the gymnastics team while completing my bachelor’s degree with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education.  My first experience teaching was in Windom, MN as a third grade teacher.  I then began teaching in Worthington where I have been an EBD, Fourth Grade, and Reading Recovery teacher.  My present job, as an RtI teacher, covers Kindergarten through Second Grade.  In this position I am able to work on in small groups with children who need some extra time working on their reading and writing skills. I am very fortunate to work in such a fine school system with teachers who have a passion for children, keeping every child’s best interest in mind.
