SPECIAL  BOARD MEETING                                                                                April 9, 2008

A special meeting of the School Board of Independent School District No. 518, Worthington, Minnesota, was held at the Worthington High School Media Center, 1211 Clary Street, Worthington, Minnesota on April 9, 2008, at 1:30 p.m.

The following were present:  BOARD MEMBERS – Lori Dudley, Joel Lorenz, Bob Jirele, Brad Shaffer, Lowell Nystrom; Absent - Linden Olson, Steve Schnieder

ADMINISTRATORS – John Landgaard, Superintendent, Dave Skog, Director of Management Services

1.                  Motion by Member Shaffer, seconded by Member Dudley and unanimously passed to approve the agenda for the April 9, 2008, Special School Board meeting.

2.                  The NCA Quality Review Team presented an exit summary report to the School Board.    Commendations highlighted included:  Fiscal – facilities; forced changed management and our strong foundation of community support.  Recommendations given by the review team were:  Development of system-wide leadership, data information usage, and institutionalize successes.  The accreditation recommendation of the review team is to award ISD 518 district accreditation as a quality school system.
