Awards - MN State High School Wrestling Coaches Association Award for outstanding coverage 1970; 2 time National Junior College Athletic Association awards for outstanding coverage in the 70's
Community - Former president, Worthington Community College Bluejay Booster Club, Worthington Bowling Association, Member Worthington Elks Lodge, Member Westminster Presbyterian Church
Bill and his first wife, Mary, had 3 children, Cynthia, Thomas and Michael. Bill and his second wife, Shirley later had 6 children, Deborah, Scott, Eric, Craig, Brenda, and Kenneth. Bill can to Worthington in 1951 to play semipro baseball. He was employee of the Worthington Daily Globe for 26 years where he was sports editor for 23 of those years. During that time he won numerous Associated Press awards. He retired in 1992. Now Bill's enjoying family, bowling, golfing, and part time sports work at the Daily Globe.
