Computer Basics                                                               $40

 

When we say Computer Basics, we mean the basics!  In the first session, you will learn how to properly turn on and shut down a computer, how to use a mouse, and computer terminology.  During the second session, you will learn how to navigate the desktop and basic word processing skills using Microsoft Word.  Maggie Kraemer will present the material in a step-by-step format.  You do not need any computer experience to attend this class!

Computer Basics II                                                            $40

 

This class is designed to be the second step after Computer Basics.  In this class, you will go more in depth with word processing skills using Word 2007 and PowerPoint 2007 and what they can do for your business, school, and other uses.  Computer Basics is a prerequisite for this course.

Electronic Library for Minnesota Forum                      $5

 

ELM (Electronic Library for Minnesota) gives Minnesota residents online access to magazine, journal, and newspaper articles, eBooks, and databases.  ELM provides information on a vast array of topics, including consumer information, arts and humanities, current events, health, science, social science, politics, business, and more.  Provides access to 13,000 full-text magazines, 340 full-text newspapers, including The Argus Leader, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, and 45 databases, including a Spanish language source, you need to learn about Electronic Library for Minnesota and it's all FREE to Minnesota residents.  Come join us to learn more about this exciting online service!
