Archery                                                                           $12

 

Archery fun for adults, youth, and families!  Join the Southwest Bow Benders Archery Club to see if archery is for you.  This class offers beginning instruction in the sport of archery, where your only competition is improving your own shooting.  Areas covered in this class will include:  developing proper shooting form, aiming techniques, equipment purchasing and maintenance, as well as different shooting activities including bowhunting and competitive shooting.  This course is sponsored by the Southwest Bow Benders Archery Club, located 3/4 of a mile south of Highway 59/60 on Plotts Ave. (County Road 57), and is under the instruction of National Archery Association Certified Instructors.  All equipment is provided if you do not have your own.

Celebration Chorus (Gr. 4-6)                                     $11

 

Celebration Chorus is an after school singing opportunity for fourth thru sixth grade students.  We will learn to sing music in two and three parts, make up some of our own accompaniments and perform out in the community a few times.  Come and celebrate together in song!  A snack and transportation home are provided.

Gymnastics                                                                         

 

4 & 5 Year-olds

In gymnastics, students develop poise and grace while working on balance, flexibility and strength.  Participants will receive age-appropriate instruction on the balance beam, uneven bars, vault and floor exercises.  Emphasis will be on terminology, body positions and skills.  Enrollment is limited and subject to change based on participation.  Classes begin the week of September 13.  Varsity gymnasts assist with the teaching.  Students who are age 4 or 5 or who have not taken gymnastics before.

Moms and Tots (Age 12-30 Months)                       $35

 

A fun interactive class for child (age 12 - 30 months) with Mom or Dad or Grandparent.  During this on-on-one time, the parent will experience the joy and fun of helping to develop their child's motor skills, coordination, and musicality through dance movement.  Using music and propos, this class is rewarding, educational, and just plain fun for both parent and child.  Participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement.

Youth Taekwondo                                                       $45/month

 

Tae Kwon Do is the Korean martial art good for all ages 6 and up.  This sport teaches discipline and growth through 5 basic principles or tenants:  Courtesy, Integrity, Self-Control, Perseverance, and Indomitable Spirit.  Tae Kwon Do promotes confidence, stress relief, and physical fitness for both children and adults.  Mr. Tim Bicknase is a certified 3rd Degree Black Belt through the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) in Seoul, Korea.  Cost is $45 per month with family rates available.  Early discount does not apply.

Thriller Dance Workshop (ages 12 & up)               $50

 

Come join the fun in this jazz workshop.  Students will learn & work on classic jazz skills, movement, and combinations while learning to dance the genius choreography in Michael Jackson's infamous "Thriller".  For ages 12+, this workshop will be thrilling" fun.  Participants should wear clothing and shoes that allow turning and ease of movement.  Standard dance attire  and shoes preferred, but not required.

Youth Wrestling                                                            FREE-1st Year Students/$28 all others

 

Come and learn how to do specific wrestling moves, strategies to use in competition and how matches are scored.  Information about wrestling tournaments in the area will be available, but participation in these events is the choice of individual participants.  No special equipment needed, just wear comfortable clothing.  No class Nov. 25.  Pre-registration is expected.
