District 518 proposes a referendum to build a new intermediate school
District 518 is asking residents to vote on a bond referendum for up to $32 million to build a new intermediate school. The district is in need of additional space due to growing enrollments. The proposed intermediate school for grades 3-5 would have a 900-student capacity and be approximately 120,480 square feet. District 518 has committed $5.8 million to assist the community in making the building plan a reality.The election is scheduled for Tuesday, February 12, 2019, from 7 am to 8 pm at Lakeside Church, 1000 Linda Lane, Worthington, MN. Early/Absentee voting is also an option at the Nobles County Government Center in downtown Worthington.
