Youth Initiatives Coordinator  

Nobles County Integration Collaborative is seeking a Youth Initiatives Coordinator to work full-time with area students and their families through mentoring and out-of-school time programs.  Individual must have education and experience working with youth, parents and communities; strong leadership and communication skills; and be willing to promote cultural integration and student success throughout Nobles County.  Bilingual skills welcome.   This position does include some evening and weekend hours, so applicant must be willing to work a flexible schedule.  Send cover letter, resume and two references to: Sharon Johnson, NCIC, 117 11th Avenue, Worthington, MN  56187 by July 15.  Projected start date: Approximately August 10, 2010.

 

 

Language and Cultural Interchange Instructor: Nobles County Integration Collaborative is seeking to hire a Language and Cultural Interchange Instructor for adult classes.  The position is part-time with daytime and evening hours averaging 15 hours per week.  Applicants must be fluently bilingual.  Desired traits include: teaching experience, basic computer skills and familiarity with cultural topics.  Send cover letter and resume and two references to: Sharon Johnson, NCIC, 117 11th Ave., Worthington, MN 56187 by July 15.   Position begins in mid-August.

 

 

Bilingual Program Aide: Nobles County Integration Collaborative will be hiring full time Bilingual Program Aide to assist with planning and implementation of educational programs.  Duties include secretarial tasks, program implementation tasks, and cultural liaison work.  Interested individuals may submit a cover letter and resume or stop by the NCIC office to obtain an application form.  Desired traits: experience working with youth; interest in cultural integration; strong communication and computer skills.  Apply by July 14 to: Sharon Johnson, NCIC, 117 11th Avenue, Worthington, MN  56187.  Position begins in mid-August. 

 

 

AmeriCorps Promise Fellow:  Nobles County Integration Collaborative will be hiring an AmeriCorps Promise Fellow to coordinate youth programs for students in grades 5-12.  Programs emphasize leadership development, academic success, cultural competence, and civic engagement. Promise Fellow will also recruit and train volunteers.  Applicants must be 18 years old, available to work full-time and interested in serving youth and community.  Promise Fellow will work 1700 hours from August 15, 2010 to August 14, 2011 and receive: Modest Living Allowance (approximately $950/month, pre-tax); Health Insurance; Qualified Student Loan Deferment; $4725 Education Award upon successful completion of service; professional development training.  Interested applicants may send a cover letter, resume and two references to: Sharon Johnson, NCIC, 117 11th Avenue, Worthington, MN  56187.
