October is College Knowledge Month

Minnesota College Knowledge Month is a statewide initiative which encourages all students to explore, plan, and apply to college. As Minnesota students start applying to college, application fees should not be a barrier. So in the month of October many Minnesota colleges/universities do not charge application fees or they don't charge fees at a certain time. And for students from lower-income families, all colleges offer a fee waiver. Click on the link to see of list of Minnesota colleges/universities that participate in College Knowledge Month.

The WHS counseling department is making a huge effort this year to push more students to be college and career ready! Every week after school there will be 30 minute informational sessions on topics related to preparing for college. These sessions are open to all students 9-12th grade. Check out what's happening at WHS during the month of October. For any questions please stop by the Student Services Office.
