Children who receive services through the EBD department at Prairie Elementary have been assessed by our Child Study team and have met state mandated criteria for an Emotional and/or Behavioral Disorder.  

 

                            

 

 

Behavioral programming includes (but is not limited to):

·         Collaboration with classroom teachers to plan and facilitate interventions

·         Development and service provision of an IEP (Individual Education Plan)

·         Development and service provision of a BIP (Behavior Intervention Plan)

·         Facilitated small groups focusing on problematic issues (anger control,

             friendship, empathy, impulse control, etc.)

·         Social skills instruction and practice

·         Individual student mentorship time

·         Classroom paraprofessional assistance

·         Facilitation of task cards, token/point systems

·         On-going record keeping/documentation

·         Continuous review of progress; updated as needed
