Biology A & B

Biology (A) is a basic course that gives the student the solid foundation they need to understand the expanding role of biology in modern society and the skills to excel in future courses in science. Along with the basic biological principles and processes, cell structure, microorganisms, and the invertebrate kingdom are studied in this course. Laboratory work that includes dissections and computer technology are incorporated into the Biology (A) course.
Biology (B) is a continuation of Biology (A) with more emphasis on college preparation. General biochemistry, genetics, and vertebrate biology are the main focus of this course. The laboratory work in this course becomes more intensive with technology used for simulations and research projects.
