Qualifying students must:
Take & meet requirements of the accuplacer test
Juniors ranked in the top 1/3 of their class
Seniors ranked in the top 1/2 of their class

This course will introduce the field of biotechnology and its applications in industry and agriculture. Components will consist of lectures coordinated to labs, which demonstrate the application of this science to this emerging field. Labs will be conducted at Biotechnology facilities in the area. Students that successfully complete this course will be awarded full credit for the introduction to Biotechnology course at MN West Community and Technical College. This course is part of a collaborative effort between WHS, MN West and Prairie Holdings that leads to some exciting career opportunities.
