The field of Statistics is quickly growing to become one of the most important branches of mathematics. This course will use a practical and technology based approach to show students how Statistics is used to picture and describe the world, as well as how it is used to make informed decisions. This course will incorporate a more “hands on” approach to learning math over the more traditional Algebra 2 and Algebra 3 courses. Topics include: introduction to statistics, descriptive statistics, probability, discrete probability distributions, normal probability distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlations and regression.
