The goal of Biology 2245 is to provide the student with a working knowledge of the terminology used in the biological and health sciences.
COURSE OBJECTIVES The successful completion of this course will allow the student to:
1. be competent in the use of biological/health/medical terminology.
2. recognize and build medical terms after learning the meanings of word roots, prefixes, and suffixes.
3. correctly pronounce medical terms.
4. become familiar with certain medical abbreviations.
