Four Terms Grades 9, 10, 11, 12
Course is geared toward addressing students' Math, Reading, and Written Language needs. Students' IEP goals in relation to MN State Standards for Language Arts and Math will be addressed at the pre-primer through second grade level. Math concepts addressed include: calendar skills, number recognition 0-100, counting by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's; rote counting 1 - 100; money recognition; work toward automaticity of multi-digit addition and subtraction problems; work toward understanding of basic multiplication and division problems; verbalize/write personal information; measurement and brief introduction of fractions and geometry concepts. Language Arts concepts addressed include: fluency with high-frequency sight words pre-primer through second grade levels; increase reading fluency and comprehension skills; write complete simple and complex sentences working up to a simple paragraph. Writing conventions consistently worked on throughout the course include: correct capitalization, punctuation, grammar, spelling, and penmanship.
