Triple A Award Winners
Congratulations to this year’s WHS Triple A Award winners, Adam Koller and McKenna Prunty. This Minnesota State High School League award is giving each year to recognize and honor high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom with a 3.0 or better GPA and participate in League-sponsored athletic, and fine arts activities.
McKenna and Adam will be honored at the Region 2AA Triple A recognition banquet in St. Peter. One male and one female nominee will be named at the event to advance to the state level representing Region 2AA.
Triple “A” Award recipients are selected through a multi-level process involving member schools of the League, the League’s administrative regions, and a special committee of educators, business leaders, and members from the fine arts and athletic communities.
The Triple “A” Award On-Court Recognition Ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Boys’ State Basketball Tournament in March. The top two award finishers from each region will be invited to the banquet. League officials will announce the four Triple “A” Award recipients at the banquet. Award recipients—a girl and a boy from both a Class A and a Class AA school—will receive a four-year $1,000 scholarship.
Congratulations to Adam and McKenna for their efforts in and out of the classroom, in the sports that they excel in, and the fine arts activities that they participate and enjoy.
