Freshman Literature
One Term (term 3 or 4) Grade 9 Required
This course includes the study of short stories, non-fiction, Romeo and Juliet, and To Kill a Mockingbird. Literature will be read more independently, with emphasis on understanding, appreciating, and analyzing the literature. Students will review literary terms, vocabulary, and good writing traits. Students will respond to the literature with writing, research, and projects.
