Leave of Absences
Employees will earn leave as per the applicable master agreement. The information below provides staff the tools to request a medical leave (three or more consecutive days) and/or a request for deduct leave. Please note, all employees are required to enter all leave requests in Absence Management (Aesop). Additional time off requests should be submitted a minimum of 30 days prior to the absence start date.
Unpaid Leave Request
ISD 518 encourages the use of deduct time to be used for special events when you don’t have the applicable paid time to use. For example, events such as a child’s graduation, attending a wedding, or a once in a life time trip. The HR team would like employees to make their request through the Google Form linked below, then HR will review the overall employee attendance. From there the approval/denial will be at the discretion of your building Principal/Director/Supervisor or Superintendent.
Medical Leave Request
In the event that you need to have a medical procedure, caring for a family member who has undergone a medical procedure, or you are going to be out on an upcoming maternity leave. The HR team would like employees to fill out the Google Form linked below, to begin the process of their medical leave.
The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides eligible employees of unpaid job protected coverage of up to 12 weeks.
