Studio 3 (WGTN-TV) Wins 2026 Hometown Media Award from the ACM Foundation
Studio 3 (WGTN-TV) has received a 2026 Hometown Media Award from the Alliance for Community Media Foundation. The Hometown Media Awards honor excellence in community media, community radio, and local cable programming distributed on Public, Educational, and Governmental (PEG) access television channels across the country.
Studio 3 submitted four productions for consideration and earned a First Place Award in the Educational Activities – Independent Producer category for its coverage of Worthington High School students signing to enlist in the Minnesota National Guard in April 2025.

“We are proud and excited for Studio 3, and especially Oscar Martinez, for receiving a Hometown Media Award,” Studio 3 representatives said. “Oscar and the Studio 3 team dedicate countless hours to brainstorming, recording, editing, and publishing content for the community to enjoy.”
Each year, nearly 1,000 entries are submitted for the Hometown Media Awards. More than 100 winners are selected by a panel of industry professionals who evaluate entries based on creativity, community impact, diversity of involvement, innovation in television production, and the ability to engage viewers in meaningful ways.
“The Hometown Media Awards celebrate both the excellence of work and the diversity of media appearing on community channels across the country,” said Mike Wassenaar, President and CEO of the Alliance for Community Media. “The ACM Foundation is proud of their achievement and how they represent their communities through their work.”
