Choir

Welcome to Choir at Worthington High School!  WHS is excited to offer two curricular choirs, three extra-curricular choirs, and many opportunities for individual students.  There is a place for everyone within the WHS Choir program!

Curricular Choirs

Trojan Choir is a non-auditioned choir open to all students in grades 9-12.  Trojan Choir performs four concerts annually.  Students in Trojan Choir also have the opportunity to compete at regional solo and ensemble contest and audition for regional honor choirs and All-State Choir. All students are eligible to audition for Trojan Express, Bel Canto, and Vox.

Concert Choir is an auditioned ensemble open to students in grades 10-12.  Auditions for this ensemble are held in the spring for the following school year.  Concert Choir performs in 4 concerts annually and competes at regional large group contest and solo and ensemble contest. Members of Concert Choir may audition for regional honor choirs and All State Choir.  All students are eligible to audition for Trojan Express, Bel Canto, and Vox.

Extra-Curricular Choirs

Trojan Express is an auditioned mixed ensemble open to students in grades 9-12.  Trojan Express, or TX is featured in the semi-annual Madrigal Dinner and performs at the spring Pops Concert. Additionally, TX performs at Coronation, the all school Veteran's Day presentation, and throughout the community. TX rehearses on Monday mornings at 7 a.m. during first semester.

Bel Canto is an auditioned women's ensemble open to students in grades 9-12.  Bel Canto performs in the semi-annual Madrigal Dinner and at the spring Pops Concert. Additionally, Bel Canto performs within the community.  Rehearsals are on Monday mornings at 7 a.m. during second semester.

Vox is and auditioned men's ensemble open to students in grades 9-12.  Vox performs in the semi-annual Madrigal Dinner and at the spring Pops Concert. Additionally, Vox performs within the community.  Rehearsals are on Tuesday mornings at 7 a.m. during second semester.
