District 518’s athletic department is here to complement and supplement the total educational program of the schools. We provide learning experiences for all athletes and give individuals the opportunity to share in personal and group success. The athletic program is committed to enriching the mental and physical capabilities of its student-athletes while developing and building a respected program that is competitive in all sports.

MN State High School League

The Minnesota State High School League increased their awareness of the value of high school athletics and activities. The value of high school activities is knowing each student will acquire something meaningful through their participation. Our school district, community, coaches, students & parents have to understand the purpose of why our students participate in activities. Research shows that participation provides students with experiences they can draw upon for a lifetime. Valuable lessons can be learned from participating on a team. Please view the MSHSL clip on the purpose of high school activities below.
