Mission Statement
The mission of District 518 Community Education is to engage people in lifelong learning; enrich lives through shared experiences; and inspire personal growth and community connections.
The Community Education Classes and Activities catalog is mailed to area residents quarterly and also available online. We hope you will find a class that interests you. To sign up for a class, please call 507-376-6105. Select link to register online.
Cummunity and School Liasons Coordinator
Adry Stafford has been hired as the Community and School Liaisons Coordinator for District 518 Community Education. Adry has been a part of Community Education since 2015. The Community Connector and Family Liaison programs have merged into one department recently to form the Community & School Liaisons. Bilingual staff is available to help residents connect to resources available in the community and help families navigate the school system. As a Spanish speaker, Adry helps in many ways for the district. She helps with the registration of new students to the district, along with connecting parents with their students’ teachers and staff. We appreciate all that she helps District 518 Community Education, along with the entire district and community.
OFFICE HOURS:
School Year: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summer: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

Weather Policy
If District 518 cancels school for the day or releases students early for weather reasons, it is our policy to cancel all Community Education Enrichment, Early Childhood and Adult Basic Education classes and activities. Call our office at 376-6105 or listen to the local radio stations for announcements.
