Basketball – Lettered four years; All-Conference and Daily Globe All-Area twice; 1,394 career points, member of 1992 Section 2AA runner-up team

Football – Lettered two years

College – Attended Dakota State University and University of Sioux Falls; participated in basketball

Troy currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD with his wife, Paula, and their children, Paige, Avery, and Will. He is the owner of KB Sprinklers Company in Sioux Falls. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2013.
