Michael Vorwald – WHS Class of 2009

Vorwald played football, basketball and baseball at Worthington. In football, he lettered three years, was an All-Area player and holds school records for most receptions in a game (10) and in a season (42).

As a basketball player, Vorwald lettered all four years, was SWC All-Conference three years and was an All-Area player for three years. He was an All-State honorable mention and has the record for most assists in a season (226) and in a game, and is second in career assists (481). In baseball, he lettered three years and was an All-Conference player. After high school he played basketball at Northwestern College and University of Sioux Falls.
