Marching Band Indoor Concert – Friday, November 4

ANNOUNCING THE 2022 WHS/WMS MARCHING BAND INDOOR CONCERT

Friday, November 4th, 7:00 pm at WHS Gymnasium

Tickets sold at door – $6 for Adults and $4 for Students.  Activity passes honored.

DAD’S BELGIAN WAFFLE FEED served in the WHS Cafeteria from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Tickets are $8 for all you can eat.  Kids aged five and under eat for Free!

Takeout orders are available.

WHS BAND Silent Auction runs continuously throughout the evening until concert time with great items to bid on!

Movie Night at Trojan Field on Friday, September 30. The movie is free! We will be showing Minions: The Rise of Gru. Movie will start to 7 pm. Concessions will be available. No outside food or drinks allowed. Children 13 and under need to be accompanied by parent or guardian. Max seating 200.

Thursday – “Party Like It’s 1999”: Throwback Day!
Friday – “My House”: Wear all of your Trojan gear!
The best dressed person of each day will win a prize.

9th Grade Transition Day – Thursday August 25

9th Grade Transition Day
Thursday, August 25 8:10 am – 12:30 pm
Buses will not be running routes for our transition day this year so please plan ahead and find a way to join us. The entire morning is focused on helping you have a successful transition to high school. You will have an opportunity to spend time with your Trojan Advisor, tour the building, walk through your abbreviated class schedule, set up technology, meet your teachers, enjoy lunch, and learn about clubs/activities at WHS. Remember to bring your iPad charged and ready for the day.

7th – 12th Grade All Sport Eligibility Meeting

GENERAL SPORTS ELIGIBLITY MEETING

All 7th-12th grade students interested in participating in athletics through district 518 are required to attend the all-sports eligibility meeting on Tuesday August 9.  The general meeting will begin at 6:30pm in the Worthington High School gym.  The Minnesota High School League requires schools to collect all forms and fees before participants are allowed to practice and participate in events. 

FALL COACHES MEETING

Fall sports participates will meet with their respected coaches to discuss team information after the general meeting

IMPACT TESTING (CONCUSSION)

All 9th and 11th grade students must complete an ImPact Test (concussion) during the designated time for their sport. 

5:30 p.m. – volleyball, girls’ tennis, and girls’ soccer

7:00 p.m. – winter and spring sports

7:30 p.m. – football, boys’ soccer, cross-country

Congratulation Worthington Trojan Track

Congratulations to our Worthington Trojan MN State Track Meet Participants! We had 15 participants that had qualified for the 2 day track meet.

Worthington State Track Medalists:

Abagotte Opiew, earned 2nd place in the Triple Jump with a jump of 44”10 ½”.

Boys 4×800 Relay, 3rd place (Ofbeka Morke, Mason Bobb, Filmon Wolday, and Mikele Walu). *New school Record, Time: 8:03.72

Abagotte Opiew, 110 Hurdles, 6th place, Time: 15.67

Girls 4×200 Relay, 8th place, (New Gora, Bailey Newman, Pham Gora, and Brooklyn Scheitel-Taylor)

Marenono Opiew, 300 Hurdles, 3rd place, Time: 40.13

Brooklyn Scheitel-Taylor 200 Dash, 8th place, Time: 26.76

Congratulations to our Boys State Track Meet participants – they also finished in 4th Place in total Team Points out of 62 AA scoring teams. A total of 97 AA teams participated in the MN State AA Track Meet. Much appreciation to your hard-working coaches that encourage and inspire you to put in the work, practice, and do well in school.

We are proud of all your hard work, dedication and efforts!
