WHS Class of 2022 Commencement Practice Friday, May 27, 9:20 A.M. After practice, seniors will be dismissed for the day. Please help support each other in demonstrating responsible behavior and strongly encourage your fellow classmates to make good decisions about their activities.
WHS Class of 2022 Senior Breakfast Friday, May 27 at 6:45 A.M. at Centennial Park Seniors drive back to WHS and get caps, ropes, stoles on. Load buses at the front of the high school at about 8:20.

On May 13, 2022, Worthington Esports Valorant Team attended the Minnesota Varsity League (MNVL) Playoffs held at Minnesota State University Mankato. The team ended their 7-week regular season and played their hearts out for 5.5 hours for a chance to compete at the first ever MN State Official High School Esport Tournament. Out of 28 teams from all around the state, only 6 qualified and we are proud and excited to announce that we qualified! We ended placing 2nd place in Group C. This win secured a spot for the team in the state championship to take place on June 4th at the Mall of America to play against the best of the best and see if we have what it takes to be the best in state!
Now we will be going up against: – Minnetonka – Eagan – St Louis Park – Rogers – Totino-Grace – Apple Valley – AFSA High School

For those who do not know what Esports is, here is a brief description:“The Worthington Esports team is an electronic sports team that participates in a highly competitive tournament using multiplayer-based videogames in the state of Minnesota. The team competes in the Minnesota Varsity League (MNVL), the home for Minnesota High School Esports with around 50 registered schools and over 800 athletes. This league creates an opportunity for students to ADVANCE esports skills in competition and industry, BELONG to a community, and COMPETE at a varsity level”
We are very excited to have Prom this weekend, Saturday, April 30. The Grand March will return to having people attend in person. Doors will open at 6:15pm, with a $1 per person fee to attend at WHS Gym.

Students will start the night at WHS and then transfer to the Worthington Event Center at 9pm.
Congratulations to Oziel Briones for placing 7th at the MN State AA Speech Tournament on Friday, April 22. Oziel’s category is Humorous and has had a fantastic season. Way to go, Oziel!
La graduación en WHS será el viernes 27 de mayo a las 6 p.m. – no es a las 7 p.m. como está anunciado en el calendario escolar. Los graduandos recibirán 8 boletos para que los familiares y amistades puedan asistir a la graduación. La ceremonia de graduación será transmitida en directo, se grabará y pasará por el canal 3 de televisión (WGTN-TV 3). Habrá un desfile de carro que será patrocinado por los graduandos y sus padres, pero no es patrocinado por la escuela, después se dará más información al respecto.
Graduation at WHS is Friday, May 27 at 6 PM – not 7 PM as listed on the calendar. Seniors will receive 8 tickets for family and friends to attend. Graduation will be Live Streamed and Recorded and Played on WGTN-TV 3. Car Parade sponsored by Seniors and Parents will be taking place, but not sponsored by the school with the information to come later.
