Gary served in the military from 1966-1970. He  was commissioned in Field Artillery ’67 and served in Germany, Fort Lewis, Washington, & Vietnam. He was on reserved duty 1979-present (battery commander with the 314th field artillery 1979 – 1982) and commissioned as major in 1986. Gary is currently in Individual Ready Reserve. He coaches in Owatonna, MN from 1970-present, is an active member of the Associated Church and involved with Elks, Owatonna Country Club and Owatonna Jaycees.  Gary is married to Glenda Metz ( WHS Class of 1965).  They have 2 daughters, Christine and Sara. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 1989.

William “Bill” Brower – At Large

Alton High School Class of 1948

Baseball – lettered 3 years; All State

Basketball – lettered 3 years; All State; State Tournament teams

Participated in the only sports offered. 

Awards – MN State High School Wrestling Coaches Association Award for outstanding coverage 1970;  2 time National Junior College Athletic Association awards for outstanding coverage in the 70’s

Community – Former president, Worthington Community College Bluejay Booster Club, Worthington Bowling Association, Member Worthington Elks Lodge, Member Westminster Presbyterian Church

Bill and his first wife, Mary, had 3 children, Cynthia, Thomas and Michael.  Bill and his second wife, Shirley later had 6 children, Deborah, Scott, Eric, Craig, Brenda, and Kenneth.  Bill can to Worthington in 1951 to play semipro baseball.  He was employee of the Worthington Daily Globe for 26 years where he was sports editor for 23 of those years.  During that time he won numerous Associated Press awards.  He retired in 1992.  Now Bill’s enjoying family, bowling, golfing, and part time sports work at the Daily Globe. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 1995.

College – Worthington Junior College 78-79, Basketball, Conference Champs ’79, 3rd place in MN State Tournament; University of Minnesota ‘81, Degree in AccountingJeff and his wife, Julie, live in Brooklyn Center.  They have 3 children and 1 grandson.  Jeff worked at Twin City Poultry as the Vice President of Finance until he retired in 2019. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2006.

Harris served as an attorney for 40 years. He was Assistant Nobles County for 16 years and Nobles County Attorney for 16 years. He also served on the Worthington Area Industries Board and is now retired and living in Worthington. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2006.

Dennis and his wife, Mary Ellen, have 3 children: Michael, Stephen, and Mark, and one grandson, Brian.  Dennis is retired for the St. Paul Insurance Company. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2004.
