Richard is retired after managing Duba Sheet Metal for many years and lives in Worthington with his wife, Alice Mae. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2008.

George Myrum – WHS Class of 1920

Football – as a high school senior coached, captained, and played on the team that tied for state championship

College – University of Minnesota – Football – letter-winner; Baseball – 2 year letter-winner, Captain, Gopher diamond team

Coach – Gustavus Adolphus College 1924-1938; 6 MN Conference football titles; Athletic Director 1926-1938, 9 Baseball Championships, tied for conference crown in Basketball

November 11, 1938, athletic director and 2 sport Gustavus coach, George Myrum, along with two students were killed in a tragic bus accident as the football team returned from a game in Wisconsin. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 1989.

College – University of Houston, Class of 1961; Golf – 3 year letter-winner, 2 time NCAA Championship team

PGA Tour – 1965-1973; Played out of Worthington 7.5 years; best finish 1969 New Orleans Open, 1 stroke back

Other Golf – Winner of well over 100 golf championships, high school, collegiate, Regional Amateur Shortstop, Professional; State Championships include – State Open, State PGA, MN Masters

Golf Course Design – 1969 – Present; Design work on over 40 courses in the 5 state area, included are: Mountain Lake, Lakefield, Sanborn, Primghar, IA, Rose Lake-Fairmont, Luverne, Willow Run-Sioux Falls, Prairie View – Worthington

Other – 16 years as Golf Professional at Minneapolis Golf Club

Joel married Solveig Overdahl (WHS Class of 1958) in 1963. They have 3 children, Lorna, Lee, and Becky. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 1989.

Kaitlin (Haack) Graff – WHS Class of 2003

Gymnastics – Six-time letter winner; All-Conference, All-State, Team MVP; qualified for State Tournament all six years, including seven individual section championships and 24 individual section medals; member of three conference championship teams and three section championship teams; school record holder in Vault, Bars, Floor and All-around

Track – Lettered five years; Southwest Conference champion in the 100 Meter Dash and 4X100 Relay, member of school record holding 4X100 Relay team, member of two SW Conference championship teams and two State True Team qualifying teams

Dance – Lettered four years; Team captain in 2002

Academics and Awards– National Honor Society; Senior Student of Excellence; graduated with highest honors; WHS Female Athlete of the Year 2003

College – Attended UW-LaCrosse; participated in gymnastics; two-time national finalist in vault; member of three national team champions; Academic All-American

Kaitlin currently resides in Apple Valley, MN with her husband, Mike, sons, Ryland and Braeden, and daughter, Amelia. She is a stay at home mom and the assistant gymnastics coach at Eagan High School. She was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2013.

Track – Five-time letter winner; 11-time Southwest Conference Champion in five different events; 11-time State Meet qualifier in five different events; State Champion in 100 Meter High Hurdles in 2002; State True Team participant; Member of three SW Conference championship teams; Most Valuable senior

Volleyball – Lettered three years; two-time All-Conference and Daily Globe All-Area; Most Valuable as a senior

Basketball – Lettered three years; two-time All-Conference and Daily Globe All-Area

Academics and Awards – Member of the National Honor Society; Academic All-State; WHS Co-Female Athlete of the Year – 2002

College – Attended Augustana College and participated in Track; three-time All-American; school record-holder in three events

Shelby currently resides in San Diego, CA. She is married to Jacob Quail and is a stay-at-home mom to sons Benjamin and Samuel. She was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2013.

Shelly Eklund – Coach

WHS Gymnastics Coach for 22 years

Head Gymnastics Coach at Worthington High School from 1986 – 2008; also coached Softball and Track at WHS

Education – Graduated from Centennial High School; Lettered in Gymnastics, Swimming, Track, and Dance; Received degree in education from Gustavus Adolphus College

Gymnastics teams at WHS won four Southwest Conference championships and four Section 3A championships; coached an individual in the State Gymnastics Tournament for 20 consecutive seasons

Shelley currently resides in Rosemount, Mn with her daughter, Jaeleigh and teaches in the Eagan, MN school district where she has been head gymnastics coach since 2008. She was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2013.

Co-founder with former WHS Athletic Director Don Basche of the WHS Hall of Fame in 1989

Dale is retired and currently resides in the Reading, MN area. Dale and his wife, Kathy, raised five children. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2013.

Troy currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD with his wife, Paula, and their children, Paige, Avery, and Will. He is the owner of KB Sprinklers Company in Sioux Falls. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2013.
