About Our 6B Teachers
My name is Mrs. Hibma, and I am a 6th grade science teacher. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marsall, MN. I then received my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through Winona State University.
While working on my Master’s Degree, I taught fifth grade in Rochester, MN. Then I was hired as a fifth grade teacher by District 518 in 1995. That means I have taught fifth grade ever since I’ve been out of college! For two years, I also had the opportunity to help teach a Master’s Degree program in Worthington during the weekends through Southwest Minnesota State University.
I love working with sixth grade students! They have a great attitude, and they get my jokes! They are enthusiastic learners who are ready to comprehend in-depth content. I love seeing my students’ faces light up when they have learned something new. It is fun to watch them gain self-confidence as they acquire new skills.
As the mother of a son and twin daughters, I have learned to value education in and out of the school setting. My husband and I love to take our kids on trips during the summer so we can all gain exposure to various areas!
My name is Mrs. Omot and I teach 6th grade EL! I graduated from Bethel University in 2013 with a degree in TESL. I just got married in June 2016 to an amazing man from South Sudan who was an EL student himself! I love traveling and exploring different cultures. I love being an EL teacher because I learn so much from my students’ different backgrounds and experiences that they have had. I really think my students teach me more than I teach them sometimes!
I grew up in Worthington and attended school here. I went to Mankato State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. St. Mary’s University is where I received my Master of Arts degree in Education.
I have twenty-seven years of teaching experience and have taught in District 518 since 2007.
I enjoy spending time with my family members and love to read.
My name is Ms. Reisch. I teach 6th grade math at Worthington Middle School and became part the district in the fall of 2015. After graduation I worked at Adrian Elementary for a year as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher as needed.
I grew up and currently live in Luverne, MN and love doing anything that involves being outside. I enjoy helping students learn new things and seeing the smile on their face when they understand it.
My name is Mr. Wieneke. I teach sixth grade science at Worthington Middle School. After earning my high school diploma from Adrian High School, I went on to earn my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-6) from Winona State University.

I’m Mrs. Wolyniec and I teach sixth grade Minnesota Studies. I have degrees in Sociology, Elementary Education, and Secondary Social Studies from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. I was a nanny in Washington D.C., taught English in Greece, and worked at a small private boarding school in New Hampshire prior to accepting employment in District 518 in 1995. I have traveled in over 35 countries and love working with young people and spending time with my husband and two grown sons.
