About Our 7A Teachers
My name is Beatriz “Betty” Bautista. I joined Worthington ISD 518 in 2016 as a high school special
education paraprofessional. In 2021 I obtained my educator license in Elementary Education K-6
and in Special Education K-12 from Western Governors University located in Utah. I currently teach
7th grade special education in the area of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) at the middle school.
My goal as an educator is to guide my students so they can reach their fullest potential by providing
a safe and positive learning environment.
Worthington has been my home since 2001. I was born in Mexico and lived in south Texas for seven
years. When not teaching my students I love to spend time with my family and friends.
My name is Mr. Doeden and I teach 7th grade Life Science at Worthington Middle School. I hold an Associate of Arts Degree from Crossroads College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of Minnesota, and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University. Before being hired by District 518 in 2000, I worked for seven years for an animal health biologics company in their diagnostic laboratory.
Mrs. Iverson started her teaching career in 1991 at what was then Worthington Junior High. She taught math and Spanish in grades 7-9. More recently, she has taught 7th grade math.

I received my bachelor’s degree from Morningside College in 2014. This is my second year in the Worthington School District, after spending the previous six years in Redfield, SD. I currently coach football and track for the Trojans. In my free time I enjoy training my English Setters and Wirehaired Griffons to hunt all sorts of upland birds and waterfowl.
My name is Mrs. McGaughey. I have been teaching English at the middle school since 1999. I first started teaching 8th grade, but for the past 5 to 6 years I have taught 7th. I enjoy challenging the students to higher level thinking and enjoy their expressions when they succeed.
