We are partners in your child’s education. We need to work together as new trends or concerns emerge and effect the risk of health and safety of our children. The purpose of this meeting and information given is to further inform you of the issue, give you resources if you feel your child is involved in this type of behavior, as well as alert you to possible supports and repercussions if your child engages in vaping and any use of drugs on school grounds (including school buses). We take this issue very seriously due to the negative health effects vaping and marijuana vaping can have on our students and have found that we are all not always aware of the risks regarding this activity. We need your help to help educate and decrease all vaping behaviors for our students.
We are holding special meetings for all parents of WMS, WHS, and the Learning Center students on Thursday, December 1. A meeting at 9am will be held for Spanish speaking parents, and 6pm meeting for English speaking parents at Memorial Auditorium. This will be time for a short presentation and experts to ask important questions that you might have.
A meeting on December 9 at 9am for Karen speaking parents will be held in the WMS Cafeteria with the same information.
These are important meetings and want as many parents to attend as possible.
