Open Enrollment 2026: April 13- April 24

Open Enrollment for the 2026–2027 benefits year will take place from April 13 through April 24, 2026. This is a passive enrollment, which means benefit-eligible employees are not required to complete the enrollment process if they do not wish to make changes. If no changes are made, your current health, dental, and vision elections will automatically continue for the new plan year beginning July 1, 2026.

However, it is very important to note that Flexible Spending Account (FSA) elections do not carry over from year to year. Employees who wish to participate in an FSA for the 2026–2027 plan year must actively enroll during the Open Enrollment period.

Additionally, we encourage employees to review and update their Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions. While HSA elections can be started, stopped, or adjusted at any time throughout the year, Open Enrollment is a great opportunity to ensure your contribution amount aligns with your needs for the upcoming plan year.

To support you during this period, members of the HR and Payroll teams will be visiting buildings throughout the week to assist with enrollment and answer any questions. We encourage all staff to review their options carefully and take the necessary steps during this window to ensure continued coverage.

Health Insurance:

  • The $3,500 deductible (single) and $7,000 deductible (family) for the HSA plan will not change, effective July 1, 2026.  This will be an embedded plan, meaning if one family member reaches the individual deductible, the plan begins covering their expenses.  Once the family deductible is reached, all family members’ expenses will be covered.
  • The HSA qualifying plan, with a $1,650 deductible will increase to $1,700 deductible for single and $3,400 for family coverage.  This plan is a non-embedded plan, meaning for the entire family’s out-of-pocket expenses contribute towards the deductible.

Delta Dental Insurance:

  • Rate increase. There are no other changes to the structure of the plan.

Vision Insurance:

  • No rate increases. No changes to the structure of the plan.

Flexible Spending Medical:

  • The maximum contribution for 2026 increased to $3,400.

Flexible Spending Dependent:

  • The maximum contribution for 2026 increased to $7,500.

Health Savings Account (HSA):

  • The contribution limits for 2026 have increased.  Be sure to account for any district contributions to your HSA when determining your own contributions to ensure you do not exceed the IRS limits:
    • Single: $4,400 Family: $8,750
  • If you are 55 or older, you can contribute an extra $1,000.

HR / BENEFIT SUPPORT:

HR will be holding individual meetings at each location for anyone who has questions about their benefits or needs additional support enrolling online.  Please note that we will have limited staff and available slots, so we encourage you to complete your enrollment online through the benefit portal for ease and convenience.  If you’d prefer to meet with someone for assistance, please refer to the schedule below and use the link to book a time.
