Football – Lettered 2 years, All-Conference, All-Area, Academic All-State selection

Basketball – Lettered 2 years, All-Conference, Conference and Section Championships

Track – 2 years

Adam attended Worthington Community College for 2 years and Moorhead State University for 3 years.  At WCC he played basketball where the team was Regional Champions and National Tournament participants.  Adam wa on the Deans list at both WCC and Moorhead State. He currently resides in Grantsburg, WI with his wife Amy, and children Axel, Archer & Abram. At Grantsburg HS, Adam is a Physical & Health Education Teacher, and Head Football Coach. Previously he taught and coached at Rockford HS, Rockford MN 2000-2004 and Gulf Coast HS in Naples FL, 2004-2010. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2017.

Edward Castle – WHS Class of 1986

Football – Lettered 3 years, all-conference, Daily Globe All-Area award

Wrestling – Lettered 2 years, All-Conference

Track – Lettered 4 years, All-Conference

Edward helped the football, wrestling and track teams to conference championships. He was an individual state track participant.  He attended Mankato State University 1986 – 1990.  Currently he resides in Houston Texas with his wife, son and daughter.  He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2017.

Track – Lettered 3 years; won the 100 yd Dash and Pole Vault at District; 2nd Place at State in Pole Vault; 2nd Place as a team at State

Football – Lettered 2 years, undefeated his senior year

College – University of Minnesota Class of 1954

Community Activities – School Board; Hospital Board; YMCA Board; Chamber of Commerce; Community Service Award; Norwest Bank Board; CEO and founder of Bedford Industries in Worthington

Bob and  his wife live in Worthington.  They have 2 children, Peter and Sarah. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2009.

Jason Cuperus – WHS Class of 1993

Wrestling – Lettered 5 years; All Conference 5 years; Academic All State, 2 time State Champion

Activities and Academics – FFA; Honor Roll

College – North Dakota State University – Wrestling, Lettered 4 years; Placed 3rd in National Division II Tournament

Jason is a pilot for LYNX airline and lives in Denver, CO. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2009.

Roger Geertesma – At Large

Round Lake High School Class of 1962

Lettered 4 years in 4 sports

Football – All State

Roger worked as a sports reporter for the Worthington Daily Globe from 1986-2001.  In 1987 Bill Brower, the sports editor, asked Roger to cover the high school gymnastics beat.  He was not excited about it but quickly developed a passion for the sport.  He not only covered gymnastics for the Globe, but became a fixture at many practices and meets and became the Trojans #1 fan.  Roger suffered a stroke in December of 2001 which ended his writing for the Globe, but he continues to support the gymnastics program with the same passion as before. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2009.

Doug Perry – Coach

Head Track Coach – 4 Conference championships; Coach of the Year 1973; Coached many State Meet place winners

Assistant Wrestling Coach –  73 meet win streak in Southwest Conference; Perennial Conference, District, Region Champs; 3 State Champions and numerous state place winners, Teams placed 3rd and 5th

Concordia College – Head Wrestling 1991- 2005 – NCAA qualifiers; 1 All American; 3 Conference Championships; Coach of the Year 2002, Head Track 1983- 1991 – 47 All Americans; 3 National Champions; Indoor Conference Championship

Other – Served on track committee for Drake Relays; Originated and was a clinician at numerous track meets and wrestling tournaments; Special Olympics timer and starter

Doug is retired and lives in Moorhead, MN with his wife, Jan.  They have 3 children, Jason, Jodi, and Jennifer. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2009.

Other – Richard was an All State Softball player for Nobles County Coop Oil

Richard is retired and lives here in Worthington with is wife, Marilyn.  He was the manager for Runnings Fleet Farms for 21 years along with farming for 16 years. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2008.

College – University of Minnesota Morris – Golf, Basketball, Degree in Architecture

Mike lives in Vail, CO with his wife, Tarrah, and family.  While working his Suman Architecture Firm, Mike still finds time to compete in golf and basketball tournaments. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2008.

Track – 4 year letter winner; 8 individual Conference championships; 3 time state qualifier; 800 M State Champion; 2 time All State; Most Valuable Player; Holds record for 800 and 1600 meters

Awards – MVP Senior Male Athlete

College – University of Minnesota – Track, 3 time All Big Ten; 2 time Big Ten Champion; 5 time Division I All American Team, team captain; Holds Gopher 800 and 1600 M school records

Other – Professional runner of ASICS America and Team USA Minnesota; Olympic Trials in 800 M Semi-Finalist in 2004 9th place finish

Toby lives in Mankato with his wife, Lindsay, and their 2 children. He was inducted into the Trojan Hall of Fame in 2008.
