About Our Physical Education Teachers
My name is Austin Bauer, and I am the DAPE instructor for the Worthington school district. I graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in P.E.T.E (Physical Education Teacher Education). I also received a minor in health education. I have worked with special education students in the past through a number of different capacities. Some of those capacities include: Special Olympics, Therapeutic Recreation Camp and resource room volunteering. An interesting fact about myself is that I have hiked the Rocky Mountains on three separate times.
Hello, I am Mrs. Cowan and I am a Physical Education and Health Teacher here at Prairie Elementary. I went to high school at Ruthven Ayrshire Community School in Ruthven, Iowa and graduated in 2011. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health, as well as my Teaching License and Coaching Endorsement from Iowa State University in 2016. I have worked in this school district since the 2017-2018 school year. I really enjoy working at Prairie and seeing students of all ages grow throughout the years. An interesting fact about me is that while student teaching, I was able to teach in Rome, Italy. I was there for three months and taught at the American Overseas School of Rome.
My name is Mrs. Linder. I am currently a Physical Education and Health Teacher at Prairie Elementary for grades K-4. I have also taught ELL and 4th grade at Prairie. The great part about teaching all the grade levels at Prairie is I get to see the students grow and mature from year to year.
I received my AA degree at Worthington Community College (Minnesota West) and my BS degree at Bemidji State University. I have worked for District #518 since 2000. I keep myself busy by attending my children’s events and activities.
