About Our 8B Teachers
Mr. Hertz

My name is Casey Hertz and I am originally from Ocheyedan, Iowa. I attended Sibley-Ocheyedan High School and graduated in 2012. After graduation I attended Southwest Minnesota State University where I played college football for four years. I graduated in 2016 with a degree in Biology and General Science Education. My first teaching position was at Cedar Mountain High School in Morgan, Minnesota where I taught 7th, 8th, and 11th grade science. My first year at Worthington, Minnesota was the 2017-2018 school year and I taught 6th and 8th grade science. In addition to teaching I will also be coaching middle school football and high school boys basketball. I have a passion for working with kids and instilling in them a love for science and self improvement. It is my goal to build positive relationships with students and encourage life long learning!
Mr. Myrom

My name is Mr. Myrom. I graduated from Moorhead State University in 1985 and am licensed to teach Social Studies 7-12. I began my teaching career in Newfolden, MN as a teacher of students with emotional behavior disorders.
I moved to Worthington, MN in 1989 and I currently teach 8th grade American History. I love the enthusiasm of middle level students.
Mrs. Ruppert

Hello, I’m Mrs. Ruppert. I grew up in rural North Dakota. I graduated from NDSU in 1997 with a degree in Comprehensive Science Education with a minor in Biology. I earned my Masters in Educational Leadership in 2001. I began my teaching career in 1997 in Worthington, MN and am currently teaching 8th grade Science. I enjoy the unique personalities of middle school students.
Mrs. Stock

My name is Mrs. Stock. I graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1980 with a degree in English/Language Arts. I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University in 2009. I began my teaching career in Sleepy Eye, MN. I began teaching in Worthington in 2007. I teach 8th grade English at the Worthington Middle School. I enjoy sharing my love for reading and books with my students.
Mrs. Wintz

Hello! I’m Mrs. Wintz and I teach eighth grade math and algebra. I graduated from SVRLB High School and then went to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where I earned a degree in chemistry in 2009. After a few years of AmeriCorps and working in a lab, I attended Southwest Minnesota State University. I graduated in 2014 with a degree in math education and licensure in both chemistry and math.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my large family, playing sports, and doing “all things Minnesota”: going to the lake, gardening, watching Gopher football, and listening to MPR.
