At Prairie Elementary, we provide excellent educational opportunities to more than 1200 students from Early Childhood through Fourth Grade. Educators at Prairie Elementary are extremely dedicated to the young people of this community. Our shared vision encompasses meeting the needs of all learners through establishing a collaborative culture with a focus on learning and results. At Prairie Elementary we use a full range of educational services to respond to the individual learning needs of students. We are devoted to meeting the social, emotional, and academic needs of every student.

  • Pennies for Patients Dress Up Days

  • ISD 518 Referendum Results

    The results of the latest bond referendum election held on Tuesday, November 5th are in. All three questions on the ballot have passed. This means District 518 will be bonding for up to $33.7 million in funds to build an intermediate school for 900 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.   Read More...

  • K-Kids Meetings

    K-Kids is a 4th grade student group sponsered by the Kiwanis.  They work with the students, teaching them about volunteering in the community, parliamentary procedures for meetings, and other life skills.  K-Kids meetings will be held from 7:40-8:10 AM in room 318.   Read More...

  • Connect to your child's classroom using Seesaw

    At Prairie Elementary, we use the learning journal Seesaw to share important information with parents about school happenings/events as well as individualized information about their child's learning. Parents can use Seesaw to communicate directly with their child's teacher to stay up to date on their student's educational progress. Seesaw gives families an immediate and personalized window into their child’s school day, and makes communication with teachers seamless.   Read More...
