At Prairie Elementary we provide excellent educational opportunities to more than 1200 students from Early Childhood through Fourth Grade. Educators at Prairie Elementary are extremely dedicated to the young people of this community. Our shared vision encompasses meeting the needs of all learners through establishing a collaborative culture with a focus on learning and results. At Prairie Elementary we use a full range of educational services to respond to the individual learning needs of students. We are devoted to meeting the social, emotional, and academic needs of every student.

    STEM 4-H Club meets on Mondays from 3:30-5:00 in the cafeteria.  The STEM 4-H Club is for 3rd graders and gives students a chance to explore hands-on activities and projects focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).  Youth will also learn about 4-H (head, hands, heart, and health) and how to use these skills.   Read More...

Regional Autism Network Gathering

 

The next Regional Autism Network Gathering is Monday, April 24th from 6:30-8:00 in the Worthington High School Media Center. The event is free. Call Val Nickel for more information or to register (507-372-1220). We encourage registration, but walk ins are more than welcome. Interpreters will be available. Child care is available upon request. Refreshments are provided. Make and takes available for $5.00. We meet quarterly in February, April, August, and November. The group is open to anyone impacted by autism.

Our night will include:

**Time for networking with others impacted by autism

**Project Lifesaver information

**Strategies for building calm and positive routines and schedules at home

**Ways to meet sensory needs at home
