Prerequisite: Woods, Water, and Wildlife.

Prepare yourself for college as most require a course in this area. Students will gain a deeper understanding of conservation and management of wildlife throughout the United States. Students will explore the importance of wildlife and outdoor recreation with an emphasis on the use wildlife and their role in the environment. Current environmental issues, their concerns, and impact on wildlife will also be studied. Topics include game laws, climate change, ecological succession, biodiversity, deforestation, pollution, and urban sprawl. This course will run every other year, opposite of Natural Resource Science.
A student interested in taking Advanced Wildlife & the Environment must receive prior permission from the teacher.
