Freshman Seminar – Careers

One Term                        Grade 9, 10, 11, 12                              Required

This class is designed to introduce students to career and life planning concepts and how to apply these to their own lives. Individualized assessments of student’s interests and skills will be conducted to determine strengths and interests. Research in various occupations will give students a better understanding of skills and education needed for their own planning. Students will also research the college application process, admission requirements, cost of post-secondary education and the importance of applying for scholarships. The job application process will be conducted as will the interview.
