Enrichment Programs

Community Education publishes a quarterly catalog with a wide variety of enrichment programs designed for people of all ages.  The catalog is also a resource of information about activities hosted by other local non-profit organizations. 

Online registration is available. 

Registration Information

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The office will be closed Dec. 24-26, 2014 and January 1, 2015.

Mail your registration form with check, money order or credit/debit card information to:

Call in your registration with payment information to (507) 376-6105.  A call is registered the same as the current day’s mail. All phone registrations must be paid for at the time of registration with VISA, Master Card, Discover card or debit cards.

People may come to the Community Education office in the West Learning Center, 117 Eleventh Avenue, room 134, to register in person.

If there is room in a class, an individual may register for a class at the door.  A $5 processing fee will be added to the price of the class for all walk-in and late registrations.

Classes are filled on a first-paid, first-served basis.  Payments must accompany registrations, for the enrollment to be complete. Registrations received without a payment will be put on hold until the payment is received.  A $5 processing fee will be charged for registrations received on the day the class begins or later. 

You are registered for a class unless we notify you otherwise. You will be notified if your choice is not available. Occasionally a class may fill as your registration is being processed. Should this happen, you will receive a personal call from us.

Space School Musical - with Dakota Players

Auditions for the Space School Musical will be held on Monday, January 5, 3:45 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium.  Youth in grades K-12 are invited to participate.  The musical involves a cast of at least 60 youth. There will be five days of intensive rehearsals followed by an unforgettable performance.  In addition to on-stage roles, older youth are needed for assistant directors and sound and light tasks.  

The performance will be on Saturday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. 

This opportunity is co-sponsored by Friends of the Auditorium and District 518 Community Education.  The program is also made possible with funding from Nobles Cooperative Electric.

Preregistration is requested.

Day Trip Opportunity: Great Bear Park on Jan. 19

Sign up with a friend to go tubing with you at Great Bear in Sioux Falls on Monday, January 19.  We will be at Great Bear from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.   The cost of the trip is $40, which includes ticket, tube rental, and transportation.  On the way home we will stop at Pizza Ranch for a meal, at your own expense.    We will depart from the Shopko parking lot in Worthington at 9 a.m. and return to the same location around 6 p.m.

Register early to save your spot for the trip to Great Bear.


Photo and Video Useage

District 518 Community Education and its representatives may take photos or video images of participants in their classes/activities.  These images can be used for the District 518 Community Education Classes & Activities catalog, webpages, social media or other promotions.  If you do not want yourself or your child's photo used for such purposes, please visit our webpage to complete the Denial of Photo Use Form.  Completed forms may be mailed to District 518 Community Education, 117 11th Avenue, Suite 3, Worthington, MN  56187.
