Breaking the Ice: An Introduction to Public Speaking
One Term Grades 9, 10, 11, 12 Elective
Focusing on the practical elements of public speaking, this course gently moves the student from simply standing up and saying their name to writing and delivering a persuasive argument. In between, students will also give an informative, how-to, and special occasion speech. Students will form a kind, supportive community that collaborates to help each student overcome their fear of speaking in public.
