American Authors A – Honors
One Term Grade 11 Required
Prerequisite: An A or B in Sophomore Comp/Lit
This is a survey course and will cover significant authors from the 19th century to the early 20th century in American literature and culture. Emphasis will be placed on the American Renaissance. Students will read a 19th century classic novel. Writing will be in response to literature and will stress pre-college writing skills.
